In this e-learning portfolio, I will reflect upon the courses I have excelled in. I will take into consideration the content of the courses, as well as the teaching and evaluation methods used, and how they relate to my learning style. I will also identify how these courses have contributed to my client care. I can consider myself to have excelled in a course if I am able to apply what I have learned to practice.

In addition, I will consider the courses that I found to be more challenging, and develop study notes regarding the course content in need of revision. This second look at the course content will allow for the opportunity to consider the content from a different angle, and to master the material that was difficult to grasp at the first attempt. By better understanding these courses, I will have a stronger educational foundation, allowing me to better aid my clients.

My name is Angie Nahli, and I am a Dental Hygiene Student at Niagara College. This personal learning portfolio will allow me to reflect upon what I have learned during the first four semesters of the program. It will allow me to recognize areas that I have excelled in, as well as areas in need of development. Based on this, I will be able to form goals to further solidify my education to date.

The Niagara College Dental Hygiene program consists of a variety of core courses, essential to success in the profession. I found myself to have exceptionally excelled in Orofacial Anatomy, Anatomy & Physiology, and Principles courses. I am comfortable with the content, as well as the ability to apply theory I have learned in class to practice. On the other hand, courses such as Pharmacology, Radiography, and Periodontology were more extensive and may require additional revision.
